Product Analyst

Job Description

The Product Analyst uses analytical, technical, and/or operational knowledge in support of business processes and services, including the review of standard documents, administration of system maintenance, problem research, investigations, Audit and Compliance support, and general data analysis. Responsible for providing general, technical and training assistance to customers and Bank personnel on Treasury Management (TM) products and services in accordance with compliance and risk management standards. Prepares TM customer agreements, sets up products/services and ensures products/services and fees are accurately reflected on Account Analysis.


Responsibilities:

Works closely with Operations management and others on process improvements and the production/delivery of key performance indicators. Ensures the accurate and timely delivery of treasury management business processes. This includes meeting and/or exceeding the service level agreements established for customer product/service setups, maintenance and contract preparation for new services.
Assists Bank Sales staff by preparing agreements, implementing new customer set ups, reviewing executed agreements to ensure correct product(s)/service(s) are established and proper fees are implemented. Additionally, maintains accurate Treasury Management files on all customers.
May represent the bank in communications with software vendor(s), regulatory agencies and other 3rd parties. Works with Treasury Management Operations Manager to prepare monthly treasury management reports. Stays informed on FIS product trends, enhancements, and defects and reports them to senior management. Assists with audit and compliance inquiries and requirements.
Assists in the preparation and delivery of product usage, system operation and risk reports to senior and executive management. Conducts and evaluates annual site inspections and self-evaluations on various remote deposit customers. Assists in the gathering of data in preparation of annual TM products/services audits.
May draft procedures and/or assist in staff training on complex processes. Maintains a high level of product knowledge and procedural expertise on the bank s product line in order to provide technical and operational assistance to customers, and Bank personnel.
Regular contact with end-users (internal and external) for education and problem resolution. The Product Analyst utilizes knowledge gained to conduct investigative research to solve problems, and escalate when appropriate, ensuring that a high level of customer service is maintained at all times.
May assist in customer implementations of certain products and services. Trains new and existing UB/UBI customers on treasury management products/services. Provides assistance via phone and e-mail communication with clients to resolve complex problems and inquiries. Assists with in-person customer implementation of products/services.
May contact trade associations, vendors, and other external resources on behalf of the bank to obtain or provide information needed to answer questions, resolve problems, etc. Works with TM vendors as needed to resolve issues and/or obtain enhancement information.
Works within existing controls and standards to identify/resolve problems, answer questions, and generate requested output.

Qualifications

SKILLS/
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent and minimum of three (3) years of progressive Operations experience with demonstrated communication, analysis, and problem-solving skills required; or bachelor s degree in Business, MIS, or other relevant field and one (1) year of Operations experience required.
Programming and/or software support experience is highly desired
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required
Business online banking operations experience preferred
Familiarity with Treasury Management products and services highly desired
Strong customer service experience with demonstrated communication and problem-solving skills required
Ability to respond quickly and efficiently to telephone and/or e-mail requests required
Strong written and verbal communication skills required
Ability to travel locally to client s office for training/installation of products required
Familiar with departmental policies and procedures and most or all departmental functions
Knowledge of industry practices and existing regulatory requirements required
Proficient in commonly used office automation tools required

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
