Sr. Controls Engineer

An international chemical manufacturing company is seeking a Sr.
Control Systems Engineer to join their team in supporting manufacturing operations within their petrochemical facility.
In this role, you will be responsible for various technical support tasks, including daily operations and test runs, as well as managing Change (MOC) activities and ensuring adherence to engineering standards.
Additionally, you will play a key role in training and mentoring instrument inspectors and technicians.
Compensation is in the range of $120,000 - $150,000, 15% bonus, full relocation package, and a very generous 401(K) match.
While many people may not have considered Parkersburg, WV, this area features some of the best mountain biking, hiking trails, and motorcycle routes in the country -- not to mention scenic kayaking on the Ohio River.

Your responsibilities will also include conducting system audits, participating in Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), and developing and executing system tests such as Site Acceptance Tests (SATs) and Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).
You will oversee engineering design contractors for control systems projects, including retrofits, upgrades, and re-instrumentation initiatives.
Furthermore, you will be involved in process loop tuning and generating obsolescence plans.
The ideal candidate will have 5-15 years of experience in control/instrumentation within a PSM governed environment, along with expertise in field instrumentation and programming concepts such as ladder, function block, and structured text.
Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) and PHA is required, along with familiarity with ISA & NEC Design Concepts and PAS Alarm database.
Preferred skills include BMS and batch programming experience, as well as knowledge of DCS, PLC, and Safety Systems.
A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Chemical Engineering is required, along with relevant certifications and licenses.
Additionally, experience with supervisory roles, project management, and continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing would be advantageous.
