Maintains complete and accurate records of clinic patients, answers all phone calls and creates all patient scheduling.
Responsible for check in and check out of all clients.
Responsible for reconciliation and lock up at the end of the day.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Ensures complete and accurate records exist for all patients, including rabies certificates, go-home paperwork, and medical records Maintains accounts receivables for all owner and volume clients.
Answer clinic phones, returns messages to appropriate staff in a timely manner Inventories flea meds and office supplies Maintains accurate and up-to-date contact list of Volume clients Client Education Must be able to learn basic veterinary medical concepts including but not limited to vaccine protocols and anesthetic risks Must also be able to communicate basic veterinary concepts to owners and be able to repeat information relayed by a veterinarian Will be asked to communicate with the public on a daily basis in a professional manner.
QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or GED Positive, optimistic outlook Good communication and customer service skills Ability to work in a team environment Possess experience and be comfortable working with a database Preferred:
Two or more years of experience in a veterinary clinic, veterinary hospital, and/or animal shelter or control facility.
Technical proficiency with Mac and PC platforms, as well as Microsoft Office.
Must be able to answer and respond for two phone lines.
Candidate should be highly motivated, enthusiastic self-starter with a professional attitude.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Standing for extended periods of time Ability to lift 50 pounds with assistance Ability to bend and kneel repeatedly May be subject to animal bites and/or scratches May be exposed to hazardous chemicals, as related to veterinary practice Job Type:
