Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures - Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse - Administer basic life support and first aid when necessary - Prepare patients for medical tests and procedures - Collect and process laboratory specimens - Perform basic coding and billing tasks - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records - Provide patient education on medical conditions, treatments, and medications - Ensure a clean and organized medical environment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of a medical assistant training program - Certification as a medical assistant preferred - Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology - Proficiency in using electronic health record systems - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively - Experience in a hospital or clinical setting is a plus Skills:
