We are currently seeking an Employment Coordinator that will assist individuals who have severe mental illness (SMI) with obtaining and maintaining competitive employment that is consistent with their vocational goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Acts as Westbrook's primary contact with individuals with severe mental illness seeking employment.
Assists individuals with learning about educational and vocational training programs related to their interests and academic aptitudes.
Collaborates with employers, counselors from the Division of Rehabilitation Services and mental health professionals to coordinate services for individuals seeking employment.
Advocate for and assists consumers with maintaining eligibility for applicable programs, social services and benefits.
Attend meetings and trainings, prepare reports and attain certifications as required by the program.
Assists with Continuous Quality Assurance and participates in Utilization Management.
Complies with federal, state and company policies, procedures and regulations.
Maintains confidentiality of all consumer information and comply with HIPAA regulations Demonstrates knowledge of and supports Westbrook Health Services mission, vision, values, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards and code of ethical behavior.
Qualification Requirements:
Must be able to communicate clearly and accurately with a variety of individuals.
Must work well in a team environment.
Work with staff, consumers and others in a professional, cooperative, ethical, respectful and effective manner.
Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
Must have valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
Education and/or
Experience:
The ideal candidate will have:
1) a Bachelor's degree in a human service field (Psychology, Behavioral Health, Social Work, Counseling, etc.
), 2) experience with the treatment and care of individuals with severe mental health issues and 3) knowledge of human resource management and employment services.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
